hello all,
this week has been a whirlwind (sort of) of errands and meetings. when i got home on sunday i emailed our real-estate agent in n. africa. ed had called on saturday to say that our real-estate agent (r-e-a) had found a better apartment close to the school to rent. after emailing the r-e-a and giving him my parent's number he called to tell me the specs of the apartment. it's two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms. the guy who's renovating it is totally westernizing it, and people, it has THREE airconditioners AND a DRYER!!!!!!!!!!!!! dryers are pretty unheard of in this part of the world. i hope it works out for us to live there. we're keeping our fingers crossed.
on monday, i got all of my immunizations at the Bowie County Health Service where i spent under $100 for all my shots. this was MUCH better than the $500 i was told i'd be spending. good job lisa watson for telling me to go there! for people who are getting ready to go you should check that out. it's a much better (read: cheaper) alternative to getting them from your doctor.
tuesday was spent not feeling that great--i'm thinking it was due to the shots--so i just laid around all day except for getting my hairs cut. this growing your hair out is the pits! i wish it would be long enough for a pony-tail already. they do say that patience is a virtue :]
today (wednesday) was spent cleaning up my house a little bit. it looks like a tornado ransacked the house with all my stuff everywhere. it's driving me crazy so i KNOW it's driving my parent's even crazier. they've been good about not saying anything though. they're good people! this afternoon i went to speak with a women's group. it was the most amazing time. these people are GOOD at "lifting" people up. they talked to the our father about things in their "lift-ups" that i hadn't even talked to them about, but they were dead on correct about stuff that goes on in the city i'm moving to. they are going to be supporting me through lifting me up--which based on today's event will be an awesome thing! i *think* their group is going to begin supporting me in other ways too. it was my first attempt at talking to a group that i didn't really have any affiliation with. our father is so faithful in providing for us when we need it. i'll just go ahead and say it again---he's pretty rediculously awesome that way!!!

mmmm can I come and live with you? We definitely won't have dryers in India!!!
Three A/Cs is good but what about heat? I know you haven't had a winter there yet but Amanda's apt. was freezing. I'm just hassling ya-space heaters are everywhere so it will be fine. My guess is if you have the apt. with a/c you'll get the most "guests" at your house. Like...the Schells? :D
