These are the "Serious Explorers" of 6 August-10 August, 2007
(L-R: Hiromi (exporter to Japan), Stephanie (Islamic Studies/Arabic language senior at Yale), Melissa, Kelly and Chris (language students), and me.
These were the people in our class which was called Serious Explorers at our language school. We learned basic greetings and how to get around the city. It was very helpful!
Everyone except Stephanie will be continuing on to Salam 1 where we will further learn how to read classical Arabic and speak the Arabic dialect of my country.
We came to the girl's apartment where we've been using the internet until we get it at our own apartment. They left a "booya" table of stuff we can take if we want it. On it was a surprise that Evie will be mighty, mighty jealous of when she sees this pic:
We'll put it to good use, Ev. No worries! It's even got a strap across the top of your head to keep it on EXTRA tight :]

Yes, you'll need it nice and tight for all of your adventures:) The apartment looks great!
What in the world are you going to need a head lamp thing for? Guess I can ask Evie....
The kids are making a "tent" in our front room as I write and would love to have it for their "camping!"
Love,
Kara
